The University of Louisville’s James Graham Brown Cancer Center is making critical contributions to clinical care through pioneering research that allows our patients new drugs and diagnostics.
Pioneering Research Gives Patients Their Best Chance
Dataseam Schools can schedule a Field Trip to learn more about innovative cancer research and the careers available right here in Kentucky.
Kentucky Computing Resource
The DataseamGrid is comprised of classroom computers to benefit Kentucky for both research and education. This unique computing system, built and managed by Dataseam, powers important research with trillions of calculations each second.
Comprised of Apple workstations, it is the largest known distributed resource of its kind on the planet, tapping the underutilized computing power of each workstation connected to thousands of others.
Advancing Cancer Research
This DataseamGrid, available around the clock for research needs, has the capacity to service as much as 80% of the University of Louisville’s Brown Cancer Center’s computational research workload, reducing time and cost to drug/therapy discovery and commercialization. The infrastructure helps support 17 research teams that drive the Commonwealth’s main efforts for cancer therapeutic development and increased competitiveness for federal funding ($64.5 million to date), creating one of the country’s largest cancer drug development pipelines in the world.
